What's different about this site?

www.skisolutions.com is a unique ski site. It is not a general interest ski site designed to be all things to all people, but nor is it a tour operator site designed to encourage you to book specific accommodation.

This site gives first-rate, impartial, detailed information on 25 of the world's top ski resorts. We have also added another 5 French resorts that are very popular chalet holiday destinations as well as information on resorts that we feature for our Short Breaks programme. This data, which is regularly updated on our dynamic site, has been compiled especially for us by Alistair Scott, one of the UK's most experienced and respected ski writers and for 20 years ski columnist of The Sunday Times. It is not available anywhere else on the web or in any guide books or magazines - it is unique to the Ski Solutions site.

We also provide honest, unbiased guidance about hotels and chalets in each resort and our improved search engine - Chalet Search - helps you refine your choice of the perfect chalet for your holiday. We have also added a comprehensive selection of Apartments - many of which are on-line bookable.

Can I book online?

That depends... You are not able to book your chalet or hotel holiday online on this site - we prefer to conduct our business by telephone or e-mail which we believe enables us to offer you more choice and thus a better service.

Holiday time is precious and all ski holidays cost at least several hundred pounds. Online retailing is all very well for CDs, books and simple air tickets. But, ski holidays are an expensive and complicated commodity. By talking to you, our staff can get a much more precise idea of your individual requirements than they can ever glean from drop-down boxes. Surf the site and see just how much information there is on your preferred destination, then give us a call or e-mail us to book your holiday.

However, for self-catering apartment where skiers often know exactly the type and size of apartment they require, we do offer on-line booking for certain suitable properties - just check out the apartment section for details.
